8 I will instruct you in the way and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Psalm 32:8
Over the past 6 years as missionaries we’ve had to make a lot of decisions. Some harder than others while some more exciting. Through every decision, we’ve seen that remaining close to the Holy Spirit has brought us peace, favor and blessing. Every now and then there’s a decision where we say “really God, are you sure?” Because in our hearts we understand the weight of every decision we make. But a decision that is made in obedience to the Holy Spirit always ends up opening doors to advance the Kingdom of God, and brings more blessing than we could have ever imagined.
As our two year term comes to an end, we’re feeling such bittersweet feelings. We’re so excited to reunite with family and friends in Michigan, but we have to leave the family we have made here and the home that we have made. This is home to Saige and Silas, it’s all they know and that has made it so much more of a home to us as well. For the past two years, ICF Rome has been home to our family and has even become family. Our hearts are so full of love and thankfulness for the relationships we have made here and the opportunity the Lord gave us to grow and learn.
All this being said:
Yesterday was our last Sunday in Rome and we will be returning to the United States on May 1st! We’re so excited to share so many testimonies and the ways the Lord has moved and worked here in Italy.
14That this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever
Pslam 48:14
